Discus 4 - A New Dimension in Profiling

Axiom Software have unveiled the latest incarnation of their popular series of behavioural profilers: Discus 4. This new version represents an immense leap in technology from previous editions of Discus, with an array of powerful new features that extend Discus' capabilities beyond anything that's come before.

Viewing a Discus 4 DISC Report

Discus 4 retains all the same DISC assessment and reporting tools from previous versions, but the new version also introduces some new departures. For example, relationship reporting can take two sets of DISC results, and report on the likely dynamics in the resulting working relationship. Also new is the Outline Profile feature, which allows experienced users to generate simplified results to use for their own analysis.

One of the strengths of Discus has always been its built-in Job Profiler, a suite of tools designed to describe and match individual styles of behaviour to the needs of a role. Discus 4 has a full-feature Job Profile, too, but it also introduces some innovations of its own. For example, it's now possible to merge together the results of separate Job Profiling exercises, helping to coordinate multiple views of the same role. There's also a completely redeveloped Job Profile reporting feature, that can interpret any Job Profile in natural language.

Discus 4 hasn't simply improved on Discus' existing features. Also available are two entirely new features: Contact and Team profiling. Contact Profiling is a negotiation management tool, that uses a third-party descriptive questionnaire to create a profile of an individual, and builds on that profile to generate a recommended approach to dealing productively with that individual.

The Discus 4 Team Profiler in action

Discus 4 also includes extensive team building and management features. Given the DISC results for members of an existing team, it can describe the workings of that team in detail, along with the major interpersonal dynamics, the team attitudes and roles of the members, and the nature of the team's leadership. The Team Profiler tool can even search for ideal combinations of members to match a preferred team description.

Taking full advantage of Internet connectivity, Discus 4 integrates easily with the Discus Online service, to give access to a range of new features, including online remote profiling.
